I chatted about this on my work account yesterday … it can’t be denied was a brilliant marketing campaign, especially as it’s still doing the rounds 20 years later & I think the company sold to Tui. Have you heard of Brew Monday? The Samaritans flipped & promote as a day for having a cuppa and a chat which I love.
I can’t believe you have snowdrops already, I can only just see their green tips poking through the ground.
Yes, I saw about Brew Monday just after I published the post. And to be honest, though I have been bombarded with holiday adverts lately, all the things actually mentioning Blue Monday were posts trying to be positive and prove the opposite. I saw someone in the Southern Highlands with snowdrops, so they are creeping your way.
I've literally just seen some this morning on a bank which gets full sun & is quite sheltered. Ours are hiding under a bush so come later. Must trim it actually...
Thank you Rachel. I feel far from blue today. In fact, I feel more optimistic than I did just 2 weeks ago. The days are lengthening, snowdrops and aconites blooming, birds filling the air with song (lovely to hear yours!), and they seem already to be preparing for spring- staking out territories and checking out nesting boxes.
That hazel flower really does look like an undersea creature!
Maybe the land for jealous that water had all the crazy creatures.
Oh what a beautiful soundtrack!
It was so lovely to sit there, I didn't want to go home!
That’s wonderful! What a nice feeling 🎶

Hurray! My entire garden is in the shade until about April so my spring bulbs come up at the same time as everything else!

Hurray!
Beautiful! The hazel flowers look like tiny sea creatures to me with their tentacles.
They are amazing aren't they! I just need to lug my DSLR there to do them full justice.
