What have you noticed in nature this month?
Our monthly nature noticing chat is this weekend.
Hello, I’m Rachel. I write about nature and creativity to encourage connection and wellbeing. This is one of my regular posts about noticing nature and a little nudge for you to get outside. To read more - go to my homepage or click the noticing nature and nudge from nature tabs.
Here we are, the end of February! I’m not sure whether it seems a long time or just a moment since our last nature noticing chat.
It was so lovely sharing our nature noticing during the 12 days of nature photos project at Christmas, so on the last weekend of each month, I open up the community chat for you to share. It might be a wonderful moment, you might have a photo, or not, it might be something you experienced on the way home from the shops or a walk in the woods with friends. It might have just been something you saw through the window. Maybe you’ve spotted some green shoots or early flowers? Birdsong might be one of my highlights.
To join, you need to head to the chat. I know a lot of you read this via your email but it only takes a click to take you either to the Substack website (where I host this blog) or you can use the app (click on the little message button, usually on the right hand side at the bottom). You can share a comment on this post if you’d prefer, but Substack only allows you to add photos in chat. Does that make sense? It was so lovely seeing nature from different locations around the UK and world.
It’s only for subscribers (free or paid) so if you found your way here another way, it would be lovely for you to join us.
At the moment, everything I share and write here on Substack is free. But it takes time and energy to produce. If you’d like to drop me a donation via Ko-Fi, click on the link below. Thank you!
See you in the chat,
Beautiful! That purple really pops. We’ve been noticing our ducklings born in early February. It’s unusually early in the season but yet here they are! I’ve subscribed. Excited to see what others are noticing in your chat. 🦆
What stunning crocus! 💚
