What have you noticed in nature?
In might be a bit chilly and dark, but what has brought you joy this month?
Hello, I’m Rachel. I write about nature and creativity to encourage connection and wellbeing. This is one of my regular posts about noticing nature and a little nudge for you to get outside. To read more - go to my homepage or click the noticing nature and nudge from nature tabs.
It’s the end of January, how did that happen? We are two thirds of the way through meteorological winter (in the Northern Hemisphere) and plenty has been happening in nature, some out of sight, but lots to spot.
Following on from the 12 days of nature photos project at Christmas, I wanted to carry on with a place for us to share what we’d noticed in nature that had brought a little bit of joy and wonder.
So on the last weekend of each month (so today and tomorrow), I’ll be opening up my chat for you to share. It might be a wonderful moment, you might have a photo, or not, it might be something you saw on the way home from the shops or a walk in the woods with friends. It might have just been something you saw through the window.
To join, you need to head to the chat area - either on the Substack website or on the app (click on the little message button, usually on the right hand side at the bottom). You can share a comment on this post if you’d prefer, but Substack only allows you to add photos in chat. Does that make sense?
It’s only for subscribers (free or paid) so if you found your way here another way, it would be lovely for you to join us.
At the moment, everything I share and write here on Substack is free. But it takes time and energy to produce. If you’d like to drop me a donation via Ko-Fi, click on the link below. Thank you!
See you in the chat,
I noticed some buds on a tree yesterday on my walk and thought of you. I was going to take a picture but my cheeky doggie found herself a very stinky dead rabbit to snack on, so I was then chasing her very unsuccessfully to try and get it off her.
